Lemon is wonderful for digestion and aids in balancing the body’s PH. Lemon detoxes the body from the toxins we put in it everyday. Lemon oil has been widely used in skin care to cleanse skin and reduce wrinkles. Supports overall health and may support normal immune function. 1. Dish Soap
DIY Dish soap took me years to make because all the recipes online seem so difficult, but when I came up with this Dish Soap recipe which has a lemon essential oil at it's core-- it was a breeze!
2. Cleaning Cabinets
My wonderful friend Darlene uses lemon mixed with a little olive oil to clean her cabinets. It really makes them shine and look like new!
3. Adhesive Remover
1–2 drops to remove gum, oil, grease spots, glue or adhesive, and crayon from most surfaces. One of my good friends even used it to help her husband after he super glued his fingers together while working on a project. Click here to see how easy it is!
4. Wood Polish
When my wood gets dull, I turn to lemon essential oil mixed with some every day common ingredients. This Wood Polish recipe features lemon, orange and cedar wood, but you could simply use just lemon essential oils as well.

More uses:
- Use 6 drops of lemon oil and 6 drops of Purification oil in a squirt bottle mixed with distilled water to use in the bathroom as an air freshener.
- Use 1-2 drops of lemon oil to remove gum, oil, grease spots or crayon.
- Use 1 drop of lemon oil to add flavor to baked goods or beverages.
- For homemade lemonade, ream 1/2 an organic lemon, add 2 drops of lemon essential oil, stevia or agave to taste; add 2 cups of pure water.
- To clean and increase the shelf life of fresh fruit, fill a bowl with cool water and 2-3 drops of lemon oil. Drop your cleaned fruit into the water and stir.
- Add a drop of lemon oil to your dishwasher before the wash cycle.
- Rub a drop of lemon oil on your hands after using a public bathroom.
- Rub a drop of lemon oil to clean a butcher’s block or other cutting surfaces.
- Put 10-15 drops of lemon oil in each gallon of carpet cleaning solution to help pull out stains and brighten the rug.
